Winter Coats – the Guide

Winter Coats

Midwinter is here and that means big Winter Coats. It is getting colder and colder, feeling justified to shop for winter coats. Here is the guide of Coats I have my eye on.

With winter a woman cannot have too many coats and jackets. My collection is always growing, I can always find a piece that I have yet to add to my closet.

Winter Coats

The first winter coat I think is such a stable piece to have and will last season after season is from The Row. The brand create so chic and minimalistic items, if you know then you know. Navy blue and many other colours are available for you. I love the broad shoulders, the big collar and how understated yet elegant this winter coat is.

Magda Butrym created this gorgeous coat with a wide shoulder silhouette and length that reaches the ankles for maximum coverages. It is made from a wool, cashmere and silk blend. I styled this coat in my Constance Bag blogpost, so check that out!

A French brand I found over the summer designed the lilac Winter Coat. Ami Paris creates really cool pieces. The dark big buttons add a nice contrast to the coat.

Belted Winter Coats

You can always count on MaxMara to deliver amazing winter pieces. They totally lived up to that this season. The brand has a wide variety of colours and models. I really like this belted one that is just so chic.

Joseph is brand I only recently discovered and their collections look amazing.

Bottega Veneta just launched this piece and I totally love it. The trench coat comes with a leather collar woven with the intrecciato pattern. Both collar and belt are detachable, which gives it a versatile look. This winter coat is the epitome of chic!

Shearling and Leather Coats

When I think of warm winter coats my mind immediately goes to big shearling jackets. We start of strong with the dark model of Blancha. The Italian family-run business specializes in outerwear. What makes this coat so cool is that you can wear it reversable. When you do so the Winter Coat has large shearling trimmings. It also has hidden buttons and big pockets, which is always a bonus.

The second shearling coat is from Dodo Bar Or. The brand fuses modern and traditional aesthetics. For sure this Winter Coat will keep you warm!

To end I could not not mention Magda Butrym yet another time. The brown leather coat look so chic with the shearling trimmings. It totally reminds me of the ’70’s.
