Fragrance improves every outfit and situation. I do love a good perfume and I encountered many great ones this year. The year has come to end so I of course had to do a blog post on my favourite 2023 fragrances.
A pattern I did not notice before is that I pair my go-to perfume to the season we’re in. Florals for Spring and Summer, more woody and amber fragrances for Autumn and Winter.
Wild Bluebell
When looking for a new perfume I did not know what I exactly wanted. The only thing I really knew was that I wanted to smell fresh. This was also the time I started learning more about perfume and what notes I liked. The sales associate was amazing and she helped me find the right one for me.
We tried different brands and then we landed at Jo Malone. I had smelled some colognes of the brand before but I did not find them to suit myself. But not with this one, this was exactly what I want: freshness and light.
Dewy Bluebells combined with lily of the valley, eglantine and a hint of persimmon form this light floral scent.
This is a perfume that I reach for during the Spring months and the beginning of Summer.

Flowerbomb
The name says it all. When looking at the notes it is literally a flowerbomb. The smell is very floral focused, which I love, but it is not overwhelming. I also find the smell a little woody and ambery, thanks to the patchouli and vanilla.
I always get compliments when wearing this. This scent could be worn this every day, however I reach for this perfume when having special events or occasions. This is for me an all-year round fragrance.
Good Girl
If there is a perfume I will repurchase over and over again it will be Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. I have done that multiple times now and I will not get enough of this smell.
White florals give the fragrance a sweety light feel. Then the base notes with tonka bean & cacao and the almond as top note give this an addictive, warm yet mysterious smell. This makes that the Eau de Perfume fall in the Ambery Floral family.
The packaging is this beautiful stiletto in black with a golden heel. Over the years Carolina Herrera launched different versions that form the wide Good Girl collection. Every version comes in a different coloured stiletto. Recently they launched Good Girl Blush and I knew I had to put this on my wish-list when I smelt this. It is the floral version of the normal Good Girl perfume, which to me smells heavenly.
I do get many compliments with this perfume and that is why I use it all-year round. But during the Autumn and Winter months I mostly grab it.

Other loved perfumes

If you love vanilla perfumes than give the brand Mancera a try. I was introduced to this brand at the same time I found Wild Bluebell. I described what I was looking for: a summer fragrance with the side note that I really like vanilla. Coco Vanilla is the perfume is most often use during the mid-summer months. It gives me tropical vibes. Mancera has a wide range of different vanilla fragrances, so you most definitely will find the right one. &Other Stories created a really nice wintery vanilla Eau de Toilette called Poem a Day. It has lots of sweet notes and a warm woody base. It really gives cozy holiday vibes. Another true summer fragrance that deserves the mention is Beach Walk by Maison Margiela. Top notes of citrus and bergamot give it a vibrant summer air. It truly is the definition of spending the day on the beach.
I did a blogpost where I talk about my 2023 favourites, ranging from shoes to beauty.
What are your favourites fragrances, do you change them according to the seasons? And how did your 2023 in Perfumes look like? Do let me know!
Love always,
